6.5 Ideas For You to Steal

Steal these ideas…consider them yours.

But before I share these multi-million dollar (or these “fall-flat-on-your-face-and-don’t-tell-anyone-you-got-the-idea-from-me”) ideas, here’s why I’m sharing…

  • I have a list of too many and by sharing them, I’ve narrowed down my list. So thank you.
  • I need to see if I’ve done anything on my ‘ideas’ list.
  • Sharing is better than hoarding.
  • You only get to keep what you give away. Marinate on that one.

So here goes.

  1. Short book: “I Don’t Know How to Use a Semicolon” and other things writers fear.
  2. Blog post: Intelligent contact lenses and other distractions that will plague us in the next ten years.
  3. Short book: write an ebook based on my 10 Commandments for Creatives blog post. (Done! Yes, making an ideas list helps!)
  4. Article/blog post: teen in Cupertino possibly finds cure for cancer. A very cool article and story.
  5. Fun titles…
      • Creativity for Wimps
      • Idea Starters for Losers
      • Creative Thinking for Boring People (very rude titles–glad I didn’t use these, but they’re catchy)
  6. Blog post/e-course: “Blogging Can Help You Lose Weight”
      • Blogging did seriously help me lose weight because I got some disciple back into my life.
      • Blogging also helped me do something creative nearly everyday, even if my day job wasn’t always creatively fulfilling.
  7. Ebook title: “Why I’m Jealous of Tim Ferriss (and everyone else who is successfully doing what I want to do)”

I love ideas and ideation. Ideas are powerful, dangerous and even scary to some of us.

When creatives get a new idea, we sometimes hear a voice of resistance whisper…

“But what if I fail.”

Then you failed trying.

“Maybe it’s won’t go anywhere and I’ll hit roadblocks.”

Making one new creative path always makes many more new paths–never roadblocks. (Tweet this)

“But what if I get made fun of by one of those…whatchu call ’em…haters?”

Take some advice from design-guy Dustin Stout

let-the-haters-hate

Let me know if you use any of the ideas and I’ll be glad to give you a shout-out right here on Creatives.

  1. Isn’t it funny how discipline in one area of our lives spills into others? i hadn’t thought of blogging for weight loss…but that would work! Once you start to actually THINK ideas keep coming, don’t they? Great idea for what to do with them when you have more than you can use. Thanks for the example!
